Georgia corporations law sets out who can be a registered agent as:
- An individual resident of the state, or…
- A domestic profit corporation, nonprofit corporation, or limited liability company, or…
- A foreign profit corporation or limited liability company having a certificate of authority to transact business in Georgia, or…
- (Corporations only) A domestic or foreign nonprofit corporation authorized to transact business in Georgia.
No matter who you choose to be your registered agent, they need to be physically present at the address provided to the state during standard business hours.

Forming a Business (LLC) in Georgia
